Holocaust Memorial

In 1990, I was introduced to Leon Kahn of Vancouver, BC.  I had previously read a book published by Mr. Kahn of his personal experiences as a partisan and a Holocaust survivor.  Mr. Kahn made a request to consider designing and producing a memorial sculpture based on his experiences and the experiences of Jewish people in Europe portraying classical elements of Judaism, the Holocaust, exodus, and the formation of the State of Israel.

This sculpture took nine months to complete, from initial concept to completed stone work.

The completed work entitled, "In Their Memory", was presented to the National Holocaust Centre in Jerusalem and has been accepted by the Centre for inclusion as a permanent work at the Holocaust Centre.

Plans are underway to produce a limited run of castings in bronze of the original stone sculpture.
