B.C. Gas Project
In 1992, the insurance company
Manulife initiated
a national sculpture competition for a sculpture placement at the BC
Gas building in Vancouver.
Abraham Anghik Ruben was awarded the
commission and installation was completed in 1993.
The sculpture
entitled, "Spirits in the Landscape", was produced from a
three foot tall stone model and the completed work cast in bronze
stands 12 feet high on a pedestal on the corner of Georgia and Thurlow
streets in downtown Vancouver.
