Events and Exhibitions

In February of this year I received an invitation from friend and teacher Ron Senungetuk of Homer, Alaska to participate in a two-man show at the Bunnell Street Gallery in Homer.
It was an honor to be asked by Ron to be involved in a two-man show with him.

I have had the pleasure with working and traveling with Ron in a project called "Arts from the Arctic" in the early 1990's, travelling to places in Alaska, Greenland, Siberia and for meeting in British Columbia.

As of this writing, plans are underway for exhibitions in Vancouver; British Columbia, Tokyo; Japan, New York City and possible touring exhibitions in Europe.
We will keep updated postings on this site as dates and locations of exhibitions and public events are finalized.

National Gallery                    June 12th to October 3rd

This exhibition explores the contemporary and modern artists' regard - affectionate, solemn, formal, or symbolic - for animals and their spirit. The works, drawn from the collections of the National Gallery of Canada and other prestigious cultural institutions worldwide, as well as from private collections, deliver powerful statements about the dignity of animal existence, and humanity's relationship to animals.

Abraham is among the artists represented as modern masters from the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries - Barye, Degas, Brancusi, Bugatti, Picasso - and contemporary artists such as Stephan Balkenhol, Joe Fafard, Louise Bourgeois, Brian Jungen, Ron Mueck, and Kiki Smith.

Bunnell Street Gallery Exhibition                July 2nd

Abraham was unable to attend.
It was regrettable that Abraham was unable to show his work alongside his mentor Ron Senungetuk.
Hopefully another opportunity will present itself in the future.
